Sativa Boatman-Sloan is a 1993 graduate with honors from Truman State University where she majored in Communication. She graduated from St. Louis University School of Law in 1996. She is a member of the Probate and Trust Committees of The Missouri Bar and the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association where she serves as the 2012 Chair. Sativa is also a member of the Greene County Estate Planning Council, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and Junior League of Springfield. 417 Elder Law was started as a division of the law firm to serve the needs of Southwest Missouri's senior clients and disabled clients. Families faced with caring for a special needs family member or elderly family member require certain legal knowledge beyond typical estate planning. Sativa's philosophy is to educate people about the law, empowering them to make the best legal decisions for their family after becoming more knowledgeable about their options.
