Melissa J. Crump, Esq., is a native of Corbin, Kentucky, and serves as Director of Education at ElderCounsel. Prior to joining the ElderCounsel team, Melissa was a solo elder law practitioner for Melissa J. Crump Law, PLLC.
Before practicing law, Melissa spent nearly twenty years working in Information Technology, where she was a Project Manager for a tri-state law firm and Director of Information Technology in the medical field. Before opening her solo practice, Melissa was a partner with Johnson Crump Law, where she focused on elder law. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky. Melissa obtained her Juris Doctor from Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law. She is the Chair for the Elder Law Section of the Kentucky Bar Association and is a frequent speaker at regional conferences and elder care facilities. Melissa serves on an advisory board for a prominent elder care facility in Lexington, Kentucky. Melissa is a wife and mother of three, she loves baseball, scrapbooking and reading, and she is active in serving her church, her community and various professional groups.
