Your computer must meet these REQUIREMENTS.

Windows Computers

Minimum Requirements  

Hard Disk Space:  16 GB or more***
Computer Memory:  4 GB or more
Operating System - Business Edition:  Windows Vista, 7, 8, or 10
Word for Windows*: 2007, 2010, 2013, or 2016 (WordPerfect is not supported)
HotDocs: HotDocs 11 or higher (Order HotDocs) Each user must have a valid license.
Internet Connection:  Cable or DSL  

Mac OS X** Computers

Minimum Requirements

Hard Disk Space: 16 GB or more***
Computer Memory: 4 GB or more**
Virtualization Software: FusionParallels, or Boot Camp
Operating System - Business Edition: Windows Vista, 7, 8, or 10
Word for Windows****: 2007, 2010, 2013, or 2016
HotDocs: HotDocs 11 or higher (Order HotDocs) Each user must have a valid license.
Internet Connection: Cable or DSL 

Cloud Access

Minimum Requirements

Cloud access requires an active internet connection and the ability to run Citrix Receiver on your computer.

Important Notes

The following prerequisites will install automatically during the initial installation of this product:

   -- Microsoft .Net Framework
   -- HotDocs Customization Plug-in

* Click-to-Run, Starter, and Trial versions of Word are not compatible with ElderDocx. In addition, the online version of Microsoft Word through an Office 365 subscription is not compatible with ElderDocx. ElderDocx requires a locally installed version of Microsoft Word.

** Allocated Memory Resources for Windows OS on a Mac:  If you do not allocate enough memory resources for the Windows Operating System installed on your Mac inside the Virtualization Software, there are noticeable slowdowns in this product's operation. We recommend that any HotDocs Answer Files created in ElderDocx, or files used to run ElderDocx, be saved to the Windows side of your Mac to avoid data corruption.

*** Drive locations that are automatically synced with a service, like Dropbox, are not supported.

Dropbox and non-ElderCounsel type Cloud Services have not been tested; therefore we cannot recommend nor support this type of setup.

**** Word for Mac will not work in a virtual environment with ElderDocx. If you do not already have a separate copy of Word for Windows, you will need to purchase that license. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding this.
