About Us
ElderCounsel began in 2007 with a partnership between WealthCounsel, our sister company, and four attorneys who are nationally recognized leaders in the field of elder law and special needs planning: Michael Amoruso, Howard (Howie) Krooks, Lou Pierro and Vincent Russo. It was their vision to create a document assembly system that is truly the best in the field, and to provide members with quality education and support. A partnership with WealthCounsel was a perfect fit. This partnership allowed ElderCounsel to build on the tremendous document assembly system platform created by WealthCounsel while adding the expertise of Michael, Howie, Lou and Vincent to create elder law and special needs planning documents for the document assembly system, called ElderDocx®.
ElderCounsel is dedicated to the professional development and full practice support of both new and advanced Elder Law Attorneys in all 50 states. To assist us in this endeavor, we have a
National Advisory Board comprised of experts in the field across the country. We also have state advisory boards within our membership who assist us with keeping state-specific information in our documents current, beta testing our software, and who assist us in providing education and support to other members.
